No matter what you distance or time preface for your run, you need to be in the right shoes. There is so much debate these days regarding barefoot (Vibrams etc.) and running shoes. Everything has its place, but not every foot and body is suited to every choice. You have to be specific and conscious of what you choose and when you replace it to avoid injury and maintain comfort and performance.
